TRISTAIN HOATH

I started my strongman journey in the late winter of 2018. Back then, I was simply looking for a way to push myself harder in the gym, and strongman seemed like the perfect challenge. Fast forward to 2019, and I had earned my Canadian pro status, marking the beginning of a career I’d only dreamed of. Since then, I’ve competed at Canada’s Strongest Man twice, in 2021 and 2023, and claimed victory at the Magnus Classic in Iceland in 2023 which was an unforgettable experience.

2024 has been a true breakout year for me. I kicked it off with a win at SCL Martinique, and a last minute call up to the World’s Strongest Man saw me place 5th, a career milestone I’m incredibly proud of. The summer flew by in a whirlwind of high-caliber competitions like Giants Live, North America’s Strongest Man, and Strongest Man on Earth. To cap off the season, I’m gearing up for my debut at The Rogue Invitational and heading back to Iceland, ready to defend my title at the MVM Classic.

My training base is United Strength and Power in Edmonton, AB, where I’m also a co-owner. Creating a space where everyone can train and feel welcome is part of how I give back to the community that’s supported me. I’m actively involved in the strongman scene year-round, volunteering at various strongman and powerlifting events and hosting my first strongman show in August 2023. Seeing this community grow and thrive is a huge part of why I do what I do.

Currently, I’m coached by JF Caron, a mentor whose experience and support have been invaluable. With his guidance, I’m pushing my limits further than ever and looking forward to what the future holds.
