MATT MCKEEGAN

I’m Matt McKeegan, and sports have been a big part of my life since childhood. Growing up, I played football, cricket, and badminton at national and semi-pro levels. Before strongman, I competed in bodybuilding, winning Junior Mr. Ireland and regularly placing high at Mr. Ireland and British finals.

When I transitioned to strongman, things took off quickly. Within a year, I broke the Irish U105kg deadlift record with a 352.5kg lift, later setting a world record at 413kg. Since then, I’ve won the Irish U105/U110kg title five times, the British U105 championship twice, and in 2024, I became Europe’s Strongest Man U105. My best finish at the U105 World Championships is 4th, and once I claim the world title, I’ll have achieved every major U105kg title.

Alongside strongman, I work as a nutrition coach, supporting clients in nearly 20 countries and sharing my passion for health and performance worldwide.
