After serving in the military, I found myself seeking an outlet that could help me cope with the mental challenges I faced during and after my service. Strength sports became that lifeline, giving me not only a physical challenge but a mental one that provided a sense of purpose and focus. I started out in powerlifting, which quickly became more than just a hobby, it was a passion that reignited my drive and discipline.
Through countless hours of training, setbacks, and learning experiences, I was able to rise to the level of an IPL World Champion. What started with humble beginnings, where I could only total 1,300 lbs as a junior, evolved into an incredible six-year journey of pushing my body and mind to their limits. By staying committed and determined, I managed to raise my total to well over 2,000 lbs, a feat I never imagined possible when I first began.
However, after achieving so much in powerlifting, I felt the call to explore new challenges. Stepping away from the platform that had shaped me, I embarked on a new chapter in my life: strongman competitions. This sport tested me in ways I hadn’t experienced before, requiring not just raw strength but versatility, endurance, and strategy. To my surprise and excitement, in my first year competing as a strongman, I earned a spot in the 2024 Official Strongman Games and secured my Strongman Pro Card, achievements that validated my decision to switch disciplines. Now, as I prepare for the 2025 Official Strongman Games, I’m more motivated than ever to push my limits and see just how far this journey can take me.
