Giants Live are bringing us the Strongman Classic 2022 this Saturday, July 9th, at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.
The following events have been confirmed to appear in the show:
2022 Strongman Classic Events
- Dumbbell Medley
- The Pillars of Hercules
- Farmer’s Carry for Distance
- Axle Deadlift
- Castle Stones
Originally, the likes of Konstantine Janashia and Adam Bishop were set to join the ranks of Strongmen heading for the title, however, both have had to withdraw due to varying reasons.
Adam Bishop shared an Instagram post disclosing the reason for his withdrawal. The post revealed that Bishop had unfortunately suffered a triceps tendon tear during training. Gavin Bilton has been named as his replacement.
However, the show is not set to disappoint, with athletes such as Evan 'T-Rex' Singleton and Oleksii Novikov still competing, where Novikov will be pushing to defend his title.
All eyes will also be on wildcard Mitchell Hooper, whose recent rise to success saw the Canadian Strongman debuting an international contest appearance at the 2022 WSM in Sacramento, California. The named events are looking in good favour for Hooper, where he's proved very proficient in loading medleys and events requiring speed.
All Giants Live and Strongman fans can catch the July 9th action via pay-per-view on the Giants Live Facebook page.
