Hello, my name is Kelvin de Ruiter. When I was 19, I had a big dream: to become the Strongest Man in the Netherlands. Back then, I was 2.03 meters tall and weighed only 95 kilos—a long way from where I am now. But with focus, determination, and a lot of hard work, I made that dream a reality. Today, I’m 175 kilos, with the strength and experience to back it up. I’ve proudly earned the title of Strongest Man in the Netherlands four times, become a four-time World Champion in truck pulling, and in 2021, I claimed the World Champion title at the Strongman Champions League.
What makes this journey incredible is that I’m still living my dream. Competing in strongman has allowed me to travel across the globe, pushing my limits alongside some of the strongest athletes in the world. At every competition, I meet new people who share the same passion for the sport, and that sense of camaraderie is unmatched. Strongman isn’t just about the weights we lift or the titles we earn; it’s about the respect we have for each other. We’re one big family, united by a love for the sport, and that’s what makes this journey as meaningful as it is.
