ERVIN TOOTS

I started training at 18, initially competing in boxing, where people often noticed my large arms. Eventually, I shifted my focus to gym training, inspired by a video of Bill Kazmaier to get stronger, though I knew little about strongman at the time. Over three years, I went from 78 kg to 131 kg, but my progress was abruptly halted when I was diagnosed with two types of cancer. Despite the devastating news, I resolved to fight back. After surgeries and chemo, I gained 8 kg of muscle, determined to keep pushing forward.

With a goal of competing at Mr. Olympia, I became Estonia’s largest bodybuilder. However, in 2018, I discovered strongman and quickly fell in love with the sport. During my second workout, I tore a bicep, but four months later, I placed 2nd at the OSG European Championships.

Two years later, with only days’ notice, I competed at Europe’s Strongest Man, placing 3rd despite tearing my ACL. I went on to compete at World’s Strongest Man, where, despite further injuries, I gave it my all. Now, after recovering, I’m stronger than ever and ready to reach the podium at Europe’s Strongest Man once again!
