I’m Dan Benson, and my journey in strength sports began as a kid, captivated by watching legends like Brian Shaw and Mariusz Pudzianowski compete in World’s Strongest Man. That fascination turned into a lifelong passion, leading me to become a qualified Strength Coach in 2015 and to start competing in weight-categorized strongman a year later.
In 2020, I won my first England’s Strongest Man title, and in 2022, I set a Deadlift World Record at 382.6 kg, placing 6th at the Official Strongman Games. The next year, I became the first lightweight athlete to deadlift over 400 kg with a 401.55 kg pull, won the Kaos Classic, and took Europe’s Strongest Man.
2024 has been a banner year with wins at both England’s and Britain’s Strongest Man, and a 2nd place finish at Europe’s Strongest Man. As a coach, I’ve also guided multiple clients to national titles and the OSG World Finals. My passion for strength sports continues to drive me, both as a competitor and as a coach, inspiring others to push their limits and reach their full potential.
